Young black scientist drawing microbes and day dreaming about starting a business.

"Dreams Unleashed: Happy New Year from Copper Key Sciences.”

In our last blog post, we talked about how our founder dreamt in high school about being chased by a paramecium. But how did she get from that dream to Copper Key Sciences?

In the summer of 2014, armed with paper from a planner and the memory of that dream, our founder decided to bring the microscopic world to life through a series of microbiology characters, including an amoeba and paramecium, a bacterium, a virus, and a helminth.

Over the past ten years, the characters have gone through a metamorphosis, transitioning from rough sketches to polished, vibrant personalities. Through meticulous design and storytelling, each microbe acquired its own distinct features and quirks, making them relatable and endearing to both science enthusiasts and casual observers alike.

Fast forward to 2023, the once modest project has gradually transformed into a budding online business, which seeks to foster a sense of wonder and appreciation for the unseen forces that shape our lives.

Copper Key Sciences exemplifies the power of perseverance, creativity, and the pursuit of one's passions. It reminds us that dreams, no matter how peculiar or fantastical, have the potential to evolve into something extraordinary.

2024 is a year of promise and possibilities. Whether you're pursuing a creative endeavor, navigating the complexities of science, or facing personal challenges, remember that dreams can indeed become a reality with dedication, passion, and a touch of imagination.

Here's to a future filled with continued growth, discovery, and the unwavering belief that even the smallest dreams can lead to remarkable journeys. May 2024 be a year of triumph, joy, and the realization of all your dreams.

Happy New Year from Copper Key Sciences!
